Austin D Parker
I am wildlife biologist and Resource Advisor for federal wild land fires. Among other certifications, I hold US FWS recovery permits for California gnatcatchers, El Segundo blue butterfly, and Palos Verdes Blue Butterfly. I earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of San Diego and Master's degree from Miami University of Ohio via San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance.
I have been working in the conservation biology field since completing my undergraduate degree in 2009. I have extensive government experience with the National Park Service and United States Geological Survey as well as professional experience with private entities, and community-based non-profit organizations such as the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, and many others. With my experience working for government agencies, nonprofit organizations, on wildland fire management and incident response, as well as my Graduate Degree and on-going conservation related projects, I have displayed my passion for conservation, wildland fire work, and serving the public via the USGS.
