Barbara Harmon

Barbara Harmon is a Management Analyst with the USGS Colorado Water Science Center (COWSC), Western Colorado Office, in Grand Junction, CO.

Barbara Harmon serves as a Management Analyst with the COWSC, a role she has held since November 2023. In this capacity, she delivers a broad range of administrative and operational support services, including procurement, purchase, travel, fleet and miscellaneous fleet card management, travel coordination, budgeting, fleet administration, volunteer program and mobile liaison support, BASIS and QuickTime processing, facilities assistance, and office automation. Previously, Barbara worked as an Administrative Office Assistant with National Wildlife Health Center (NWHC), where she developed expertise in purchase card management, procurement processes, and Power Apps. During her tenure, she automated several workflows, one of which received recognition from the Midcontinent Region for its innovation and efficiency. Barbara began her USGS career in July 2022. Before joining USGS, Barbara served as a Transportation Security Officer with the Department of Homeland Security from February to April 2022. She also worked as an Enumerator for the U.S. Census Bureau—Chicago Regional Office, Green Bay, Wisconsin Field Office—from July to November 2020.
