As a hydrologic technician in the Caribbean-Florida Water Science Center, Christian ensures that the Water Cooperative Program in the CFWSC meets the needs of customers (cooperators and the public) by providing technical information through personal contact or specific data requests and the operation and maintenance of surface water, groundwater, climatological, and water-quality stations.
This information assist communities in managing risks from natural hazards and in facilitating improvement in the health of watersheds, landscapes, and water resources. In addition, perform Hydrologic data collection, analysis and computations using appropriate QA/QC procedures established by USGS and CFWSC policies. Install, maintain, and operate equipment and gaging station structures in support of the Department of the Interior's Resource Protection strategic goal to ensure the quality and relevance of hydrologic data in support of scientific understanding and decision making is also part of my duties.
