Christopher Woody

Christopher Woody is a Physical Scientist with the U.S. Geological Survey at the Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. 

Christopher Woody works as a Physical Scientist with the Fire Science Team at USGS EROS. His work focuses on assessing large fire potential leveraging various remote sensing and meteorological data sources. He has provided mapping support for multiple burn severity projects including Monitoring Trends in Burn Severity (MTBS) and National Park Service fire mapping service. He also responds to wildfire incidents as a Technical Specialist and GIS Specialist trainee.
