Jien Cheng
Jien Cheng is an Administrative Operations Assistant for the USGS National Climate Adaptation Science Center (NCASC).
Jien joined the U.S Geological Survey in January 2023 and supports the National Climate Adaptation Science Center with various administrative matters.
Prior to joining the USGS, Jien served in the Army for four years before attending the University of Houston to earn a Bachelor's degree in History.
Jien's previous work experience includes serving as a legal assistant with the IRS Office of Chief Counsel and as a paralegal with both the U.S Attorney's Office Northern District of Texas and the IRS Office of Chief Counsel. Jien also has experience with the Department of Veterans Affairs assisting veterans with finding and scheduling appointments with healthcare providers.
