Kristen Steele

Biography

Kristen Steele is a Physical Science Technician with the USGS Florence Bascom Geoscience Center in Reston, VA. She collects geophysical and geochemical data from lake sediments, which are used to reconstruct past climate conditions and events such as floods, droughts, and hurricanes. She also assists in operating the GeoTek Multi-Sensor Core Logger, which collects non-destructive measurements on sediment core and captures high resolution line-scan images.
