Hydrologic Technician for Oklahoma-Texas Water Science Center
Laura began at USGS in 2022, conducting water quality and velocity measurements in Florida Bay and monitoring saltwater intrusion in groundwater at the Davie, Florida office. Laura joined the Oklahoma-Texas Water Science Center in 2025 as a hydrologic technician in the Gulf Coast Branch in Houston, Texas. She specializes in continuous water-quality monitoring and discrete sampling in the Greater Houston area and is currently part of a sampling team assessing Galveston Bay’s resilience to Ocean and Coastal Acidification (OCA) in San Leon, Texas.
