Sarah K. Collins

Sarah Collins is a Hydrologic Technician with the New Jersey Water Science Center, where she manages a field program that includes groundwater wells, surface‑water gages, and tide‑gage operations across southern New Jersey. Her work supports reliable hydrologic data collection that informs water‑resource monitoring and research throughout the region.

In addition to her field responsibilities, Sarah contributes to the New Jersey Ambient Groundwater Quality Monitoring Network (AGWQMN), a cooperative USGS–NJDEP–NJ Geological Survey program that monitors shallow wells statewide to evaluate groundwater quality, identify long‑term trends, and assess land‑use impacts.

Sarah began her career at the NJWSC in 2021 as a Student Trainee (Hydrology), where she developed foundational skills in hydrologic field methods and instrumentation. She returned full‑time in 2022 after earning her bachelor's degree in Marine Science from Coastal Carolina University.
