Steven Schriver

Steven is a Hydrologic Technician with the USGS Colorado Water Science Center (COWSC), Southeast Colorado Office, in Pueblo, CO.

Steven began his professional journey in 1995 as a Hydrogeologic Technician with the Barton Springs/Edwards Aquifer Conservation District in Austin, TX. His responsibilities included managing the groundwater level monitoring network, collecting water quality samples, and overseeing well permits. In 1997, he joined the Texas Water Development Board in Austin, working within the Ground Water Monitoring Unit to gather water quality data and measure water levels.
By 2001, Steven became part of the USGS Studies Section in Richmond, VA, contributing to the Potomac-Delmarva NAWQA project by sampling both surface and groundwater sites and operating continuous water quality monitoring stations. In 2005, he transferred to the USGS office in Albuquerque, NM, participating in the Rio Grande NAWQA project with similar duties. After spending time on contract jobs in Colorado in 2010, Steven returned to the USGS in 2021, this time in Orlando, FL, serving as a technician focused on surface water. Most recently, in 2024, he moved to the Data Section in Pueblo, CO, where his role is focused on water quality sampling and Continuous Water Quality Monitors.

Overall, Steven brings over 15 years of multidisciplinary experience in water quality, groundwater, and surface water—serving both government agencies and private employers.
