New Jersey: Coastal Flood Inundation Mapping

The NJ Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) and NJ Office of Emergency Management (NJOEM) partnered with the United States Geological Survey (USGS) to improve the effectiveness of the existing tide gage early warning network covering coastal communities. Tide elevation readings at each gage are associated with flooding in the surrounding communities.

This information can be used to display flood-inundation maps for a range of tidal elevations to better understand areas of potential flooding.
