Landsat 8 Data Affected by Safeholds Being Reprocessed

As announced in this November 19 Landsat Headline, Landsat 8 data affected by two satellite safeholds in November were processed into Real-Time products until additional calibration parameters could be applied.

With this calibration analysis now complete, these Landsat 8 data will be reprocessed into tiered-products (T1 or T2) starting on December 9, 2020. After the data are reprocessed to Collection 1 and Collection 2 standards, and repopulated on EarthExplorer, each scene’s Product Identifier will include the updated processing date.
