Bay Barometer provides progress on Chesapeake restoration effort
The Chesapeake Bay Program released the Bay Barometer for 2021-2022.
The Barometer provides a snapshot of accomplishment activities at the Chesapeake Bay Program as well as updates on outcomes that were updated in the past year. The outcomes included in this year’s report are the 2025 Watershed Implementation Plans, Blue Crab Abundance, Forest Buffers, Oysters, Public Access Sites, Submerged Aquatic Vegetation (SAV), Sustainable Schools, Toxic Contaminants Policy & Prevention and Water Quality Standards and Attainment.
Multiple outcomes are supported by USGS data and findings. The Barometer also highlighted an award-winning USGS Chesapeake report!
