eMODIS Phenology Data Dictionary
The Data Dictionaries are a set of information describing the contents, format, and structure of elements for EarthExplorer products.
- Field Definition: The first day of data acquisition for the source data at the start of the collection period. The begin date and end date are used to indicate the date range for the annual metrics.

- Field Definition: Collection source of the data.

- Field Definition: The ellipsoid for the projection is based on the model of the Earth as a sphere with a major axis (radius) of 6,370,997 meters.

SOST = Start of Season Time
TIN = Time-Integrated NDVI
- Field Definition: The reference system used to map the data.

- Field Definition: The 250m eMODIS Phenology data for the conterminous U.S. are divided into Eastern and Western regions.
- Field Definition: The distance on the ground represented by each pixel.
- Field Definition: The Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) is the instrument on the satellite used to acquire the source data for the product.
- Field Definition: The unit of measure associated with the resolution.

- Field Definition: The calendar year associated with the annual record of phenology indicators.
- Field Definition: The version of MODIS source data used to create the product. The original eMODIS Phenology data set was processed using MODIS Version/Collection 5 source data.
