Land Cover Trends Geotagged Photography Data Dictionary
The Data Dictionaries are a set of information describing the contents, format, and structure of elements for EarthExplorer products.
- Field Definition: The year, month, and day that the image was acquired.
Format:
YYYY/MM/DD
YYYY = Year
MM = Month
DD = Day
- Field Definition: The agency responsible for acquiring the imagery.

- Field Definition: The type of camera used to acquire the imagery.

Nikon, Canon
- Field Definition: The latitude and longitude are provided in decimal degrees for the Scene Center.
Format:
Latitude Format Decimal Degrees: -90.0000 through 90.0000
Longitude Format Decimal Degrees: -180.0000 through 180.0000
Coordinates Degrees, Minutes, Seconds
- Field Definition: The latitude and longitude are provided in degrees, minutes, and seconds for the Scene Center.

DD = Degree(s) with a range of 0 through 90
MM = Minutes(s) with a range of 0 through 59
SS.SS = Second(s) with a range of 0 through 59.99
H = Hemisphere with N for north and S for south
- Field Definition: The year, month, and day that the images and related metadata were entered into the database.

- Field Definition: Dots Per Inch (DPI) is used to measure the resolution of the image. The higher the DPI, the better the sharpness and clarity of the image.
- Field Definition: The descriptive name of the ecoregion corresponding to the Ecoregion Number.
- Field Definition: An ecoregion is an ecologically and geographically defined area that is distinguished by its natural features and environment.
The Land Cover Trends Projects utilizes 84 ecoregions for the conterminous United States. An Ecoregion map, alphabetical list by Ecoregion Name, and numerical list by Ecoregion Number can be found at http://landcovertrends.usgs.gov/map.html.

LCT = Dataset identifier
N = GPS latitude reference (directional indicator)
DD_DDDD = Center latitude
W = GPS longitude reference (directional indicator)
DDD_DDDD = Center longitude

NNNNN = Sequential number, zero-padded to five digits
