STUDY OBJECTIVES:
USGS will provide technical support to the Delaware River Basin Commission in preparation of the State of the Estuary / State of the Basin Technical reports during calendar years 2010 and 2011.
STATEMENT OF PROBLEM:
USGS will provide technical support to the Delaware River Basin Commission in preparation of the State of the Estuary / State of the Basin Technical reports during calendar years 2010 and 2011.
STRATEGY AND APPROACH:
USGS technical support will involve the following activities:
- Technical review of draft documents, including;
- Selected indicator parameter and parameter codes;
- Site selection approach and rationale;
- Completeness of data set;
- Proposed methods for trend analysis;
- Proposed methods for spatial analysis;
- Drafting and coordination of comments and recommendations.
For the Water Quantity and Hydrology Section, USGS technical support will involve the following activities:
- Inventory of available monitors and funding status for flow, water quality and precipitation data for the Delaware River Basin.
- Historical gage data analysis (PoR versus recent trends) and interpretation for Delaware River at Trenton and selected other gages;
- Technical review of draft documents.
