USGS Safety Training Video for cableway pre-use inspection. Training guide for new field personnel to safely and effectively inspect cableway structure and components prior to operation.
Announcing the ORWSC's "Training for Advancement in Hydrologic Data Processing and Technical Field Skills" from Monday, April 30, 2018 to Thursday, May 3, 2018, at Camp Rilea, Oregon.
The ORWSC Training for Advancement in Hydrologic Data Processing and Technical Field Skills will provide the opportunity for attendees to collaborate in person with other ORWSC hydrographers and hear from experts in the field. We will be concentrating on the topics and current issues identified by the Water Science Center that require focus. This is a great place to further develop skills to get you to your career goals. We will spend a day concentrating on the process of record processing where you will learn how to be a better writer for station analyses. Documentation protocols will be covered so we can all be consistent. There will be hands on workshops and detailed lessons. By the end, each hydrographer will walk away with an increased understanding in:
- Levels
- Gage Height Records
- Ratings and RDT
- Discharge Records
- Station Analysis Writing
- Current Record Processing
- Index Methods
- Water-Quality Techniques
