Upper Midwest Water Science Center scientists gathered with other scientists and area stakeholders at the recent Wisconsin Chapter of the American Water Resources Association (AWRA) conference in Brookfield, April 9th and 10th.
As phase six of the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD) Watercourse Corridor Study nears completion, the USGS team shared project insights through six oral presentations and two informative posters covering a broad range of topics including stream restoration and habitat, harmful algal blooms, surface water contaminants, green infrastructure, and water-quality trends. This robust participation highlighted the breadth of ongoing research associated with Phase 6 of this long-term cooperative project between USGS and MMSD.
