Aerial imagery, digital elevation model, orthomosaic image, ground control points, and bathymetry survey points collected in 2019 to identify sources of water and salts for the Zuni Salt Lake in west-central New Mexico, United States
Aerial imagery was collected with an uncrewed aerial system (UAS) and ground control points were used to construct a digital elevation model (DEM) and orthomosaic image using Structure-from-motion (SfM) photogrammetry for the Zuni Salt Lake in west-central New Mexico. The DEM and bathymetry survey points were combined to estimate lake water volume as a function of lake stage in the U.S. Geological Survey Scientific Investigations Report, "Sources of Water and Salts for the Zuni Salt Lake in West-Central New Mexico", https://doi.org/10.3133/sir20255057.
Aerial imagery, DEM, and orthomosaic image are published by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Center.
The data release contains instructions for users to access the aerial imagery, DEM, and orthomosaic image stored in EROS. This data release also contains, a KMZ file, a table of surveyed ground control point locations, and a table of surveyed bathymetry point locations for the Zuni Salt Lake.
