Basin Characteristics Rasters for the Computation of Low Flow Statistics in New York StreamStats
June 1, 2026
This data release contains raster representations of air temperature, precipitation, and soils across New York State. The environmental data represented by the rasters were identified by Stagnitta and others (2025) as being significant input variables for the computation of low flow statistics across New York State excluding Long Island. The USGS StreamStats application (https://www.usgs.gov/streamstats) is being used to extract the raster data for drainage basins upstream of user-selected stream locations and to compute low flow statistics for those locations using models described in Stagnitta and others (2025).
