Data from In Situ and Laboratory Bioassays with Fatmucket for an Augmentation Effort in the Clinton River Watershed, near Detroit Michigan, from July to October 2023
June 23, 2026
This data release contains biological information collected in the field during a 78-day in situ mussel exposure. We collected length and survival data from Fatmucket that were held in mussel silos from five potential mussel augmentation sites in the Clinton River watershed, near Detroit, Michigan. Additionally, this data release contains data from a 28-day laboratory sediment bioassay using field-collected sediments and juvenile Fatmucket. At the end of the assay, we assessed survival, length, and dry weight as a way of determining if any augmentation site was suitable for mussels.
