Flood Frequency Data for Selected Streamgages in the Taiya River Basin, Alaska, 1966–2025
This data release provides the source data and results of a flood frequency analysis for a site in the Taiya River Basin, Alaska, that was conducted using USGS PeakFQ software (Siefken and others, 2024). Data are provided for one streamgage, 15056210, Taiya River near Skagway, Alaska, that had 32 years of annual peak-flow record. The data include streamgage information, PeakFQ input (TXT and PSF files), PeakFQ output (PNG files; CSV and TXT files with names ending in "_emp.csv", "_log.txt", "_lp3.csv", "_mgb.csv", "qnt.csv", and "trd.csv"), flood frequency parameters, and estimates of the 50-, 20-, 10-, 4-, 2-, 1-, 0.5-, and 0.2-percent annual exceedance probability discharges. Flood frequency analysis for the Taiya River excluded the annual peak flow for the 2002 water year that was affected by a mass failure and glacial lake outburst. These data are intended to support investigations of streamflow in the Taiya River Basin.
