Hydroacoustic Data to Support Embayment Monitoring in Long Island Sound, Farm River Embayment, Connecticut, 2023-2025

This data release includes hydroacoustic data for the 2023 to 2025 water years at one station. This station is part of a discrete and continuous monitoring project in embayments on Long Island Sound to support nutrient management activities in Connecticut. The data were collected by the U.S Geological Survey (USGS) in cooperation with the Connecticut Departments of Energy and Environmental Protection. The data were collected using an acoustic Doppler current profiler (ADCP) sampling 134 parameters every six minutes. Recorded values above the water surface or errant values due to environmental limitations were removed from files using an R script. The ADCP was deployed at the downstream location in the Farm River embayment at USGS streamgage (411513072512301) Farm River at Farm River Marina near East Haven, CT. Data are provided for the station in a zip file and includes a description for the station’s ADCP setup.
