Low-Frequency Radar and Inferred Ice Thickness, Gulkana Glacier, Alaska, 2024

August 7, 2026

This dataset contains ice thickness interpretations made from a radar survey conducted on Gulkana Glacier as part of the USGS Benchmark Glacier Monitoring Program on April 19th and 20th, 2024. The dataset contains a CSV file with the complete set of radar interpretations from the Spring 2024 Gulkana field campaign. The data includes a total of 36,378 observations. Radar interpretations are aggregated such that one point is only reported for all points within 0.5 m of each other. The radar survey was concentrated along the main trunk of the glacier.
