Meteorological data from Cape Cod National Seashore, Massachusetts
July 14, 2026
Meteorological data were collected at Marconi and Head of the Meadow Beaches on Cape Cod National Seashore, MA as part of a multi-year monitoring study of nearshore sand transport and white shark behavior. The overarching goal of the study is to characterize beach and nearshore morphology, assess temporal variability, and measure wave runup to calibrate USGS total water level forecasts. The meteorological data will be used to more fully characterize the physical environment and interpret other datasets, such as wave runup observations and white shark behavior in nearshore regions.
