Overwintering telemetry assessment of invasive Silver Carp in embayment habitats of Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley, Kentucky, USA, 2021-2025
October 26, 2026
Telemetry data from various fish species (primarily Silver Carp [Hypophthalmichthys molitrix]) were collected across 10 embayments (stations) in Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley, KY, USA. Data were collected during the winter periods (December to March) of 2021-2025. Water quality data were recorded for the same stations during the same periods. Data also include the deployment locations of 42 acoustic receivers and 10 water quality sondes, organized by station number and sample year. Each year, acoustic receiver arrays and water quality sondes were positioned in approximately the same locations to allow comparison of fish movement and water quality data across years.
