Phytoplankton Data for Samples Collected at 18 Adirondack Lakes, New York State, July to October 2024
December 31, 2025
This data release contains phytoplankton identification and enumeration data from the analysis of water samples collected from 18 lakes within the Adirondack Park, New York State. Samples were collected as part of the Adirondack Long-Term Monitoring (ALTM) program (for more information, refer to: New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, 2015). The ALTM has monitored water chemistry in lakes across the Adirondacks since 1984. Data were collected by the Adirondack Watershed Institute from July 7 to October 2, 2024. Phytoplankton were identified to the lowest possible taxonomic level with abundance (reported as both natural units and cells) and biovolume reported.
