Phytoplankton identification and enumeration data within an algal bloom at Lost Bay, Kabetogama Lake, northern Minnesota, 2022

This data release provides phytoplankton identification and enumeration data from an algal bloom at Lost Bay on Kabetogama Lake (USGS site ID 482747092503001) collected on September 20, 2022. These data were collected using a systematic grid design, 3 rows by 4 columns grid cells, where each grid cell contained a single sample location. A near-shore sample location, just outside the sample grid where the algal bloom was concentrated, at Ek Lake Trail was also sampled. At each of the 13 sample locations, water-quality samples and field parameters were collected at the surface and 1 meter depth.
