Spatial distribution of depth-averaged velocity measured in the Wabash River near West Lafayette, IN (June 26-27, 2012 and June 17-18, 2013)

July 21, 2016

These data were collected using a 2 mHz TRDI StreamPro acoustic Doppler current profiler (ADCP) in 2012 and a 1200 kHz Rio Grande ADCP in 2013, both deployed from a moving boat. The data were georeferenced with a Hemisphere Crescent A100 differential Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver with submeter accuracy. The data have been depth-averaged over the entire measured portion of the water column and temporally averaged over 30-second
intervals to reduce noise. These data were collected as a part of a combined field campaign with Purdue University which included simultaneous egg and larvae sampling. Data were processed using the Velocity Mapping Toolbox (Parsons and others, 2013). Any data assigned a value of "-9999" are bad or missing data and should not be used for analysis.
