Water quality concentration and load data for a biofilter at Green Tech Station in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 2022–24

March 19, 2026

The U.S. Geological Survey conducted a study in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to evaluate the performance of a biofilter designed to treat urban stormwater runoff from a roadway. This data release includes load calculations for total suspended solids, nutrients, major ions, and 12 metals for monitoring that ran from March, 2022 to November, 2024. Loads are reported for both the inlet (USGS site number: 430529087571001) and outlet (USGS site number: 430528087571001) of the biofilter. Precipitation and discharge volumes (inlet and outlet) used in the load calculations also are included for the entire monitoring period. Loads are given for 19 sampled runoff events from June, 2022 to August, 2024.
