Whole rock geochemical data from Arizona porphyry mineral systems (2025)
This report includes whole rock geochemical data from a newly collected suite of samples from igneous systems across Arizona. The data release includes samples collected in calendar year 2025 that support an ongoing, multi-year project dedicated to characterizing magmatic porphyry systems toward understanding possible basement influence on porphyry style mineralization. This preliminary dataset includes samples from basement host rocks, plutonic rocks, and associated mineralized/barren porphyries from across the state. This data release includes two spreadsheets in csv format.. The first sheet includes the sample identification information (i.e., sampling locations, mapped geologic units, rock type) as well as the results of major and trace element geochemical analysis determined by wavelength-dispersive X-ray fluorescence and inductively coupled plasma-optical emission spectroscopy, respectively. The second spreadsheet includes the reporting limit thresholds for each element and oxide weight percent that was measured by both analytical methods. Empty cells in the "Whole Rock Data_AZPCB_25.csv" spreadsheet indicate measurements fell above or below the respective reporting limit thresholds.
