Whole rock geochemistry data from Mesoproterozoic rocks in the Paradox Lake quadrangle, Essex County, New York

May 22, 2026

This data release includes whole rock (WR) geochemical data. Bureau Veritas Commodities Canada Ltd. Laboratories in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada analyzed the samples. Meghan Toft and Greg Walsh collected the rock samples from outcrops in the 7.5-minute Paradox Lake quadrangle, New York. The whole rock geochemistry data constrain the composition of mapped rocks in the eastern Adirondack Mountains of New York. CIPW Norms were calculated from the whole rock data, and plots generated with Igpet software. The data release contains four files, including one metadata file (XML format), two comma-delimited files (CSV format), and one browse graphic (JPEG or JPG format). The CSV and JPG files include the following: ParadoxLake_WR_data.csv, ParadoxLake_WR_data_dictionary.csv, and ParadoxLake_geochemistry.jpg.
