Rodent habitat and community data to evaluate outcomes of wildfire and post-fire restoration treatments
September 23, 2025
This dataset contains observations used to better understand rodent habitat and community composition 2-15 years post-wildfire with different post-fire restoration treatments (post-fire seeding of native or non-native species). Field data come from 3 wildfire sites in the Northern Basin and Range Ecoregion. Vegetation structure and composition measurements were collected at 71 plots, and rodent communities were sampled at 52 plots (subset of the 71 plots sampled for vegetation). Treatment groups related to wildfire (burned vs. unburned) and post-fire seeding (native seeding, non-native seeding, no seeding) were derived using GIS.
