USGS hydrotechs are a streamgage’s best friend, visiting them to collect data and make repairs. Over the past 10 years, some sites have been visited over 500 times. That’s about 50 site visits a year!
Hydrotechs work hard to maintain critical data streams in all sorts of conditions. This can require rapid response to flood events or checking on equipment during the dead of night.
