This "software technical note" (`TECHNOTE.md`) provides extensive details involving the construction of typical well-depth grids from research-grade statistical study of the Chicot aquifer system. The README also within this directory is designed and intended to parallel the documentation of individual covariate construction as part of the primal feature of the **covCHICOTla** software repository. Therefore, the content of the README parallels similar README files elsewhere in `covCHICOTla/covar/` subdirectories. Minor duplication exists of some information between the `welldepmod/README.md` and this technical note `welldepmod/TECHNOTE.md`. Remark, this note is written using the minimum of necessary "markdown" syntax (accessed April 21, 2025, at https://docs.gitlab.com/user/markdown/) for enhanced readability by a web browser on the https://code.usgs.gov platform but remain simple enough for plain-text readability in a text editor.
