Notes:
Sandbreak/Fine, Sand Analysis, and Full Size samples are performed at full-ϕ particle size distribution categories and include concentration. LOI sample charges are in addition to the base sample processing fees1.
Standard fines analysis includes "% finer than" reported for break points at 62 μm, 31 μm, 16 μm, 8 μm, 4 μm, and 2 μm sizes.
These prices include service fee charges. Specialized contracts outside of USGS may incur extra fees and documentation requirements. Sample coolers should be no bigger than 22x15x15" in dimension and weigh 50 lbs. or less, a fee will be added if the size or weight is exceeded2. Return shipping charges may occur if a return label is not included. Bottle washing is included with the cost of analysis, unless in the case of excessive staining or sending empty bottles to wash separately.
