As reported on February 28, 2023, the processing of Landsat 9 data was paused to investigate an anomaly on the Thermal Infrared Sensor (TIRS).

As of Friday, March 3, the processing of Landsat 9 data remains paused as the USGS/NASA Calibration/Validation Team (CVT) continue analyzing post-anomaly calibration and Earth image data to verify the usability of Landsat 9 TIRS data.
It is expected that early next week, the CVT will have completed their analysis and will provide their concurrence to resume Landsat 9 data processing.
Additional information will be posted when the Landsat 9 data acquired during and after this anomaly become available.
