Core Science Analytics, Synthesis, and Libraries Five Year Science Strategy

Core Science Analytics, Synthesis, and Libraries (CSAS&L), a program within the Core Science Systems (CSS) Mission Area, offers a comprehensive spectrum of skills, products, and services that enhance scientific research capabilities within the United States Geological Survey (USGS).



This Five Year Science Strategy outlines CSAS&L goals, research questions, and strategic actions for four key science themes Biodiversity Science, Applied Research Computing, Library and Information Science, and Human Dimensions and one holistic, comprehensive theme Data Science that arises from the confluence and fusion of these fully realized science themes.
