PGRL Total Organic Carbon and Total Carbon Method

This PGRL uses this method to determine the total carbon and total organic carbon of ground geologic materials (for example shale or other rock types) by combustion to form carbon dioxide which is detected by a non-dispersive infrared cell. This method is based on the ISO 10694:1995 standard Soil quality – Determination of organic and total carbon after dry combustion (elementary analysis).
