A USGS river research boat investigating a flash flow at Lower National Camp sandbar/beach at National Canyon on the Colorado River in Grand Canyon. This is the third in a series of photos that show before, during and after of a flash flow (not quite a flood) event during summer monsoon. This photo was taken 8/10/2018 by Tom Gushue, USGS.
