This view is looking northwest from near the Chimney Rock Overlook. The Historic Point Reyes Lifeboat Station is located amongst the pines to the right. Note the tilting planar surface on the "back side" of the cliffy headlands. This surface is a tilted marine terrace. It shows that the Point Reyes Headlands are gradually rising, tilting the landscape.
