A photo of petroglyphs.
Detailed Description
Petroglyphs along the ancient shoreline of dry Tule Lake. The petroglyphs are obiviously younger than the high-standing lake levels of the last ice age that covered the rocks. However, carvings at different levels, and the abundance of carvings suggest that the site was visted by many generations (NPS, 2007; Swartz, 1978).
