Detailed Description

Atmospheric river striking the West Coast of the United States on February 4, 2024. It unleashed extreme precipitation over Los Angeles and triggered more than 400 landslides in 48 hours. True-color image acquired by the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on NASA’s Terra satellite.
