Detailed Description
In September 2003, I was funded by the US National Park Service to document glacier change in Glacier Bay National Park. In this photograph taken by my colleague Austin Post, I am standing on Triangle Island in Queen Inlet, holding a photograph taken from the same location in 1906 by USGS geologist Charles W. Wright. In the ensuing 97 years, Carroll Glacier retreated more than 2 km and approximately 200 m of sediment was deposited in the fiord
