Cableway measurement on Columbia River
Detailed Description
The steep basalt banks of the Columbia River below Priest Rapids Dam at USGS streamgage 12472800 made for tricky streamflow measurements. In April 1956, before the completion of the dam, a group of hydrologic technicians measured the river from a cableway.
