Cape Hatteras National Seashore

Aerial imagery from a report by Karen Morgan of the USGS on coastal change on Cape Hatteras associated with Hurricane Isabel. Hurricane Isabel opened up a new inlet in the island where dunes were the lowest and the island was narrowest. Hurricane Isabel caused millions of dollars’ worth of damage on the Outer Banks.
