CASC Project Lifecycle Web Tools
Detailed Description
The entire lifecycle of projects funded by the Climate Adaptation Science Centers (CASCs) is captured and supported by a suite of online web tools. These tools help project managers, Principle Investigators (PIs), and others manage and track projects from the initial project solicitation and selection process, to the development of data and products, to the final project close-out.
These web tools are connected via Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to allow information to seamlessly flow through the different stages of the CASC project lifecycle.
The diagram above shows the different CASC web tools that support the project lifecycle, including the Proposal Solicitation Manager (PSManager), Data Management Plan Editor (DMPEditor), Project Dashboard (PDASH), Data Entry for Project Tracking and Highlighting tool (DEPTH), the CASC Project Explorer, and ScienceBase. The arrows in the diagram represent the flow of information between the tools.
If you have questions about these tools, please contact casc@usgs.gov.
