Detailed Description
Weather sensor and rain gage, USGS 390325074455401 Stone Harbor USGS Weather Station, mounted along with USGS 01411360 Great Cannel at Stone Harbor, New Jersey tide station.
Weather sensors will be at the highest elevation of all the tide gage sensors to ensure it is not obstructed. These sensors collect air temperature, wind speed and direction, barometric pressure, and relative humidity to NWS standards. In addition, rain gages gather valuable data on local precipitation as it helps to understand the effects of storms on our tide gages.
