~ Mile 3: Approaching Navajo Bridge over Marble Canyon and the Colorado River. Sandstone and limestone of the Kaibab Formation make up the upper portion of the cliffs at Navajo Bridge. The lower part near and below the break in slope is Toroweap Formation.
