Grand Canyon, Colorado River, near Lava Falls. Arizona. A trail from Toroweap Campground extends down to river level at Lava Falls. With an elevation drop of almost 3,000 feet from the rim, this traverse must have been extremely difficult to transport the heavy cameras and other equipment needed to photograph the river.
