Hydro Tech installs temporary gage during flooding

USGS Hydrologic Technicans are often times asked to perform their duties in less than desirable conditions.  In this photo, Richard Akins, Central Midwest Water Science Center, is installing a temporary gage at the Gasconade River in Hazelgreen, Missouri, at night  to obtain the measurments needed during flood conditions.
